About: Mystic Falls

         Mystic Falls, Virginia, a small, pristine southern town with white picket fences and immaculate lawns, is a place of picturesque homes and antebellum architecture that glossy brochures could never do proper justice. Mothers with 2.5 kids host tupperware parties and fret over pot roast, while fathers head off for work only to be seen again when supper’s ready and family time begins. Some say these places no longer exist, while others know that small towns are the heart of this country. The place to settle down in the quiet nature of suburbia where everyone knows everyone’s name. Waves hello and goodbye. Greets the mailman when he arrives. And, nothing bad ever happens.

         But like any small town, Mystic Falls wears a façade as thick as its founding history. Hidden beneath this quiet picture of perfection are lineages, mortal and immortal alike, doused in bloody sacrifices and stolen souls. Families nailed to the crosses of this city’s secrets, while victims burn alive in the flames of her truths. Most humans roam this quaint little town without a care in the world, while others know the true danger comes from the monsters that go bump in the night. Vampires, Wolves, Witches, Siphons, Hunters, and so much more wear the familiar faces of neighbors, teachers, doctors, family, and friends. Lurking around every corner is the moment her homey façade falls, leaving the true face of terror to spill innocent blood across sacred soil.
