Beneath le Vieux Carré’s breathtaking wonder, intriguing folklore, and vigorous excitement is pure debaucherous darkness. A darkness where the blood flows, like sludge, through the gutters beneath the streets. A darkness where the monsters of your worst nightmare prey upon the unsuspecting at every turn. A darkness ruled by the worst of the Damned: Vampires, Voodoo Priestesses & Priests, Witches & Warlocks, Lycans & Weres, Shapeshifters, and so much more all living beneath the nose of most humans. Those who are privy to the underworld are either willing prey or made to look the other way, paying never-ending penance for their spared lives. The rest? Living in blissful ignorance or soon-to-be sacrificial lambs to the bloody current running beneath the city.
Divided by kind, bloodlines, and centuries old loyalties, the underworld of La Nouvelle-Orléans has changed from one powerful set of hands (and fangs) to another; each seeking to maintain their hold on the empire of all who are Damned. Power struggles, battles of bloodlines, and wars of succession ensued; leaving life, undead and dead alike, to perish on saturated soil and strengthen the bond between the Crescent City and the Other Side. In New Orleans, everyone's got blood on their hands... No matter how innocent or how much of a victim they seem, the blood trails surge through the soil of this Parish from all directions. And, it travels deep, spilling and tainting the souls of all who are Damned.
